All who walk through the desert and see the Crocus flowering under difficult circumstances of intense heat, drought and lack of attention are encouraged. The ministry of the prophet is similar to the Crocus - it is a ministry of encouragement.

Anita Giovannoni is the founder and President of Crocus Ministries. She has a vision to train and raise up prophets and prophetic people. Anita has been doing this since 1988. She has been teaching in Bible Schools, at seminars and running Prophetic Schools for many years. The all new Academy of Prophecy being the latest course she has written. She is the author of several books..

She is also an invited guest speaker to many churches and conferences in South Africa, other African states and overseas.

Anita ministers alone or with some of Crocus' Team. The Team is an evolving group of people who have learned to minister together. Their main function is to build up the Body of Christ with prophetic ministry. They are in various stages of growth. As the prophets become anointed and fulfil their ministries they are released to minister where they function to the fullest.

Crocus' vision is expanding as God calls the prophets to work closely with the apostles. We have a vision for prophetic presbytery type ministry to build up the people of God who are called to minister to others.

Mission

The mission of Crocus Ministries is to provide a safe haven for prophets and prophetic people to learn, train and fellowship. Despite the natural inclination of the prophets to be alone, they have a genuine need to function within relationships. This prevents the prophets from becoming strange and only relying on their own advice, counsel and revelation.

The furtherance of the prophetic ministry is the main mission of Crocus Ministries. In order to do this Crocus provides teaching and training schools. Seminars and gatherings are part of this too. Crocus aims to also provide facilities for this training in order to have a base from which the prophetic can be launched. Training ministries can grow and be released and then have somewhere to come back to for further teaching and fellowship. The Academy of Prophecy plays a large role in this training.
